限流止回閥主要用于多泵并聯(lián)且采用改變臺(tái)數(shù)的方式進(jìn)行流量調(diào)節(jié)的供水系統(tǒng)中，它安裝在水泵的出口，能起限制水泵流量、穩(wěn)定揚(yáng)程的作用，可使水泵工作在高效區(qū)內(nèi)，防止低揚(yáng)程大流量水泵過載燒壞電機(jī)。同時(shí)該閥還具有止回緩閉功能，能顯著減小水錘。
